Nintendo has released its first Switch 2 update in the new year, but the patch doesn't do anything all that noteworthy.

While you might be looking to reestablish your gym routine now that the festive season is over, at least you can count on your Switch 2 console having an extra layer of stability thanks to a new firmware update.

Back in 2023, Microsoft inked a 10-year deal with Nintendo to bring Xbox games, including Call of Duty, to Nintendo platforms. It appears the launch is drawing close, as a data miner has spotted code related to Nintendo in a recent Call of Duty update.

Nintendo announced the individual Year in Review going over Switch and Switch 2 game stats and details is now available online. People can log into the official site to see what they played on both consoles from January to December 2025.
