President Donald Trump blasted France, Spain, Italy and the U.K. on Truth Social, criticizing their refusal to support U.S. military operations tied to the war with Iran.
President Trump indicated Tuesday the Iran war may wrap up "very soon" and he could abandon efforts to force Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, as the war pushes U.S. gas prices over the $4 mark.
As the barrage airstrikes continue in the Middle East, we look at the military strength of Iran and the United States.
The Army approved soldiers deployed in support of the war in Iran to wear a unit patch on their right shoulder as a combat patch.
Since the United States and Israel launched their war against Iran on Feb. 28, the Trump administration claims to have all but “obliterated” the Islamic Republic’s military capabilities. Spain denied U.S. military aircraft access to its airspace and bases for Iran conflict operations, with Defense Minister Robles calling the war "illegal."
The threats come as the war shows no signs of slowing and as average gas prices in the U.S. surpassed $4 a gallon.
According to Iranian state media, the visuals are meant to signal readiness, with the armed forces declaring they are "ready to confront and defeat American soldiers".
