I rotated my tires and now the sensors are reading in the wrong location of the vehicle. Googled how to enable re-learning mode on the gen 2 Cruze and found nothing. Anyone know how to have the car register the new location of the TPMS sensors?
The 2011s and early 2012s could relearn their TPMS without the tool. Later 2012s and beyond require the tool. This tool is only used to tell the car which tire has which TPMS sensor. Simply driving will trigger the individual sensors to update the computer. 2018 Honda Clarity Touring PHEV - Forest Green w/Tan interior (wife's car)
Trying to reset the TPMS to relearn the pressure. Turn the ignition on, go to the readout and press reset. Hold reset. It wont reset. Any ideas? Im trying to have it relearn since all i have right now is -- where the pressure should be. Yes, I have a relearn tool. ;)
I bought EL-50448 TPMS tool for about $10. The tool will also tell you if the battery on the sensor is weak. What I’ve noticed is that many tire shops either 1. Don’t know how to relearn the tire sensors or 2. Are too lazy to do it for you. I don’t even bother asking them to relearn anymore I just do it myself after each tire rotation.
Can't Re-learn Tire Pressure Over the weekend I finally changed over to my Winter Tires and now I cannot relearn my TPMS. It was working when I took of the 18" Rims and when I changed it to the 16" Winter tires the display said to relearn the TPMS. I bought this tool on Amazon.ca...
Actually they have a ITM Sensor Aid tool but I don't think they know how to use it except to clone an existing TPMS and dada it will not read the original sensors on our cruze. I don't think you can clone sensors. The Cruze will only remember 4 sensors, so you'd have to reprogram every time you changed the rims. (Such as mounting winter tires.)
